Over the past dozen years or so, I have been writing a series of “Summmerland Stories” which have been published in the newspaper “Southern Exposure” (sadly no longer in business), the magazine “Archivos” (published by the Okanagan Archive Trust Society ), and on my “Conversations, Reflections & Meditations” website. As I have received many requests to gather these stories together into book form, I have started to work on this project. I’ll be editing the stories done so far, as well as adding several more.

I got started on this project on October 9, and as of Oct 17, I have put over 30 hours of effort into the project–which means I have nearly completed the first draft. Lots of work to come! To make sure I don’t give up, I’ve announced it on the Summerland BC – Hometown Memories Facebook page (which has garnered a positive response, yay!) and announced in at our local Okanagan-South Writers’ League (OWL) writers group … and now here! After all that, I can’t dare to back down, right 🙂

I’ll be providing updates on my progress here on my Norma J Hill blog, so if you’re interested, be sure to click on the “follow” button for email update notifications.

Oh …. In case you’re wondering, yes, I am still accepting editing jobs and writing coach jobs, so feel free to contact me if you’re interested in my services. Check through the rest of this site for more information–especially check out this page for information on my writing services, and this page for links to all the useful editing and writing articles on this blog.

Remember to order it into the ORL (Okanagan Regional Library). You can talk to the boss lady whoever it is or do like I did — just order it for purchase. They bought it.
