Are you wondering if you (or someone you know) are mentioned in A Summerland Stories Scrapbook: Memories & Memorabilia 1930s-1960s? People have been asking me, so I sat down and went through the book, listing everyone who is mentioned one way or another—in stories, in autographs, in autobiographies, in family letters, in photo captions, or people who contributed to stories (especially the one about Rotary Beach) … and oh my goodness! It looks almost like a Summerland telephone book from that time period! Anyway, if you’re curious, here’s the list, in more or less alphabetical order. I’m not sure of everyone’s last names, so if you can’t locate a last name, look for first names! It’s also possible that a few names might be misspelled, as a number of the sources were in handwriting, and not always totally clear.
The “book launch” will be held in Summerland in about a month—I’ll be posting the location, date, and time as soon as possible. Hope to see you all there!

A surprising lack of Steuarts, Laidlaws, and Gartrells.

Hi Paul! Actually there is a Steuart mentioned in the list. I’m sorry about the lack of Laidlaws and Gartrells … I know they are important members of the Summerland Community; unfortunately, my sources for the book didn’t happen to include them. I do apologize.

Don’t see the Hugo name. Moved into Garnett Valley 1955-1983. Raised 9 kids there.

Wow, large family! Sorry I didn’t mention them; unfortunately, they were not included in the sources I had. Thank you for sharing.
